Mass layoffs fuel fear of AI Armageddon

A doomsday report from Citrini Research warns artificial intelligence tools may lead to a sharp rise in unemployment. The research unnerved investors by imagining what would happen if AI continues to upend white-collar work . While the researchers called the report a "scenario, not a prediction," the research got attention Thursday when Square and Cash App operator Block said it would slash nearly half its workforce — more than 4,000 employees — as AI reshapes its business. 

Meanwhile, young job seekers are having a hard time as entry-level hires are increasingly asked to review AI-generated output, make judgment calls and manage risk — responsibilities that traditionally required years of firsthand experience,

Bill Clinton to speak on Epstein. The former president is set to give a deposition Friday, the day after former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified about her connections to the accused sex trafficker. She called out Republicans for not making the deposition public. Opinions on the Clintons' testimony in their New York town were plentiful.
Columbia says ICE lied to access a dorm and arrest a student. The student was released after the intervention of NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani — who met Trump at the White House on Thursday.
Lisa Rinna says she was drugged at "The Traitors" premiere party. Rinna, who said her husband Harry Hamlin helped her exit the premiere quickly after the alleged incident, shared many of her friends have had a similar experience at The Abbey in West Hollywood.
