Moore and McConnell, take 2

We haven't quite reached a "no-holds-barred" scenario when it comes to Roy Moore vs. everyone... but we're getting there. According to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Moore, who has been accused of sexual misconduct with teenagers while he was in his 30s, is "not fit to be in the United States Senate."

McConnell won't rule out what would have probably been unthinkable not too long ago: trying to expel Moore from the Senate, should he win next month's special election.

And Moore? He's seeing this thing through to the bitter end.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Capitol...

Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the previous holder of said Senate seat, faced question after question after question when he appeared before the House Judiciary Committee.

Through all five and a half hours, Sessions staunchly defended himself.

"I will not accept - and reject - accusations that I have ever lied," Sessions said, addressing suggestions that he lied during testimony about his knowledge of contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. "That is a lie."

Other highlights: he acknowledged he was present for a meeting that included George Papadopoulous, the Trump campaign aide who pleaded guilty last month to making false statements to the FBI about communications he had with Russian government allies. And Sessions isn't going to appoint a special counsel to investigate Obama administration merely at the insistence of Republicans.

Oh, and on the Internet

So we learned that Donald Trump Jr. definitely talked with WikiLeaks - you know, the organization that published hacked information about Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee -  during the 2016 campaign. How do we know that? Because, in typical DJTJ fashion, he shared the messages himself.

"Here is the entire chain of messages with @wikileaks (with my whopping 3 responses) which one of the congressional committees has chosen to selectively leak. How ironic!" he tweeted on Monday night, following a report from The Atlantic about the correspondence.

Are these correspondences actually a big deal? Read them and decide for yourself.
