New St. Michael prayer cards
Dear Friend,
Today is the feast day of the archangels St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael. In 1886, Pope Leo XIII composed a prayer to St. Michael after experiencing a vision of Satan and the dark powers. And he invited the Church to call upon the archangel to “defend us in battle” and protect us from the evil one. |

In recent years, many parishes brought back the tradition of praying the Prayer to St. Michael at the end of Mass. If you make a gift in support of evangelization, we will send you these new St. Michael prayer cards. |

The spiritual life is a battle. Indeed, in the book of Revelation, we see that this great struggle has unfolded even in the angelic realm: St. Michael and his angels wage war against the dragon and his minions. But whereas Satan had dared to arrogate to himself the prerogatives of God, Michael fights—and triumphs—with the unanswerable challenge of his own name: Micha-el (Who is like God?).
Pray this prayer often, remembering the spiritual battle in which we’re engaged—and that we fight not with the weapons of the world but with the weapons of the Spirit. Make a gift today and you will receive these beautiful gold foil St. Michael prayer cards.
God bless you,
The Word on Fire Team
