The menopause treatment many women are missing |
Menopause can quietly increase the risk of urinary tract infections, making them more frequent and, in some cases, life-threatening. Yet many women still aren't offered vaginal estrogen, a simple treatment that can help prevent recurring infections. A major new study found women who used it were far less likely to be hospitalized with a UTI or develop life-threatening complications, yet the therapy remains surprisingly underused.
