Alabama's 50-36 win over Florida State on Saturday did more than pad the résumé. Brett McMurphy's Week 4 College Football Playoff and bowl projections have the Crimson Tide among the two new teams shaking up the CFP bracket.
The bowl picture shifted even more. Nine new teams join the projections this week: Appalachian State, Cincinnati, Delaware, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee, Northwestern, South Alabama, Texas State and Vanderbilt.
Five matchups worth circling on the calendar: SMU and Oklahoma State meet in the Pop-Tarts Bowl in Orlando, followed by Texas A&M and Nebraska in the Music City Bowl in Nashville. Clemson faces Utah in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, while Mississippi State takes on Kansas State in the Texas Bowl in Houston. The slate closes out with LSU and Penn State squaring off in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.
