Man fatally shot by ICE during Maine traffic stop

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said an ICE officer shot a man Monday in Maine after he "weaponized" his vehicle, citing a term ICE officials also used in describing the fatal shooting on July 7 by an ICE agent of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston.

The man shot in Maine was a 26-year-old native of Colombia with a work permit to be in the U.S., according to an immigrant rights group.

Jordan Walker won the 2026 Home Run Derby on Monday in Philadelphia, becoming the first St. Louis Cardinals player to win the competition. Walker put in an insane rally late in the final.
