As Word on Fire marks 25 years of proclaiming the gospel, we give thanks for the many lives touched through this apostolate. At the same time, this milestone invites us to look ahead.
We are making bold plans to ensure that our evangelization efforts remain vibrant and effective for generations to come. To secure the future of Word on Fire, we are focusing our anniversary fundraising on three key initiatives:
1. A Word on Fire order of priests 2. Expanded film production and distribution 3. Major new publishing projects
A Word on Fire order of priests Bishop Barron is taking steps to establish a Word on Fire order of priests to carry this mission forward in perpetuity. The vision is to form a small founding community of priests and novices who will live according to a rule developed by Bishop Barron and receive advanced formation for evangelization.
With a house already secured in Rochester, Minnesota, recruitment has begun. Your support will help fund formation, living expenses, and the long-term stability of this community so that these priests can be sent out on mission to preach Christ to the culture.
| | SUPPORT THE ORDER | | Expanded film production and distribution From the acclaimed CATHOLICISM series to our more recent productions, film has proven to be one of the most powerful ways to reach a wide audience with the beauty of the faith. We are now seeking to expand our film production and distribution in a significant way.
New documentary and narrative projects are already in development. With additional staff, equipment, and production capacity, we can bring these stories to life and distribute them through theaters and our Word on Fire Digital platform, reaching millions of people. | | SUPPORT NEW FILMS | | Major new publishing projects Word on Fire Publishing has grown rapidly in the past decade, becoming a leading voice in Catholic publishing. Now we are undertaking several ambitious initiatives, including deluxe editions of the great books, a comprehensive English translation of the collected works of Joseph Ratzinger, and a new literary imprint dedicated to high-quality fiction and poetry: Luminor.
