Good morning. An interfaith coalition has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration over its Religious Liberty Commission, an entity within the U.S. Department of Justice, it contends, is unlawfully biased toward Christianity. President Donald Trump claimed during last week's National Prayer Breakfast that he made a phone call that secured the release of Mariam Ibrahim, a persecuted Sudanese Christian mother who was released and fled to the United States during the Obama administration. A Roman Catholic church in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has prompted outrage for opening its sanctuary later this month for a Harry Potter-themed "worship service" that promises to be a "magical evening." Turning Point USA’s "All-American Halftime Show,” which the group offered as a counterprogram to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance on Sunday, featured the Gospel being shared and several tributes to the organization's late founder, Charlie Kirk. |
