'Potential subject' in Guthrie kidnapping caught on camera

The search for Savannah Guthrie's 84-year-old mother continues, but there may finally be some break in the case: FBI Director Kash Patel released a series of still and video images Tuesday that show a person they're calling a "potential subject."

The "Today" host and her family have endured an agonizing ordeal since their mother went missing Feb. 1. Nancy Guthrie has mobility issues and needs life-sustaining medications, and authorities believe she was taken against her will from her Tucson area home.

More Epstein fallout

At least six more co-conspirators may be in a trove of documents related to disgraced late financier Jeffrey Epstein, according to two House members who've pushed for their release.

Lawmakers are in the process of reviewing confidential documents, and Reps. Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican, and Ro Khanna, a California Democrat, said they have found additional suspects whose identities remain redacted. "What we want is the men who Jeffrey Epstein trafficked women to – we want those names published, " Massie told reporters. "In two hours, we found six men whose names have been redacted who are implicated in the way that the files are presented."

'They understand the core mission'

Public service was the only career Meghan Burns ever had . An attorney with the Department of Education, she was busy at work on a March day in 2025 when her computer rebooted. When she turned it back on, she discovered her job was gone — seven of the department's 10 civil rights attorneys, including her, were terminated. And they weren't alone: More than 370,000 federal employees took early retirements, buyouts or were fired in 2025.

But now she and other former federal workers found they could continue serving by working at another level of government — bringing their experience, skills and expertise to state and local governments.

"They understand how to navigate bureaucracy. They understand the core mission of what we are trying to do," Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas told USA TODAY.

Mike Tirico might be the only person who can pull off hosting a Super Bowl and an Olympics on the same day, let alone do it twice. Tirico was the centerpiece of NBC's Super Bowl LX coverage and the 2026 Winter Olympics. "I had a blast … it was as enjoyable a day as I've had in this business," he said. How Tirico and his NBC colleagues did it.
