Hi,

I took the new thing from Amacx, their Beet Shot, 2 hours before my running intervals yesterday. Same workout. Same intervals.

But I was noticeably faster and in less pain during. Let's put it this way: I was pushing to go harder, not struggling to keep the pace. I was running 20 seconds a mile faster than my normal pace. And my heart rate stayed normal even though I was going faster.

The science of Nitrates = More blood flow = More oxygen. You stay aerobic longer.

It's sports legal, it should be, it's just beets, but Amacx also tested it with NZVT certified (Dutch anti-doping). Just nitrates from beets doing what they've always done: converting to nitric oxide, dilating your blood vessels, delivering more oxygen to working muscles. Science has known this for years. But the execution matters.

I know it works because I can test it. Saliva test strips (free with SwissRX Nitric Oxide Pro) show my Nitric Oxide levels spike 2 hours after the shot. It's not placebo. It's measurable.

Amacx Who?

If you don't know who they are, here is the quick back story:

Three years ago, I was riding the tourist version of the Amstel Gold Race in the Netherlands. Amacx was doing the nutrition on course. I stopped at a feed station, grabbed some gels, filled my bottles, and rode off trying to beat the crowds back onto the road.

I took one sip of the drink and did a U-turn.

"What is this?"

Then I tried the gel.

"Who do I talk to? We need this at The Feed."

That's how Amacx landed at The Feed two years ago. Since then, their Drink Gels have become a regular in my pantry. I know I'm not supposed to pick favorites, but these are in the top rotation of favorites.

Last year they dropped their Tart Cherry Juice. Enervit had just launched theirs as a powder with all the Tadej Pogačar backing (great product). Amacx showed up with a ready-to-drink version and I was skeptical.

I was wrong. It blew up. The ready-to-drink format is amazing. Not only is it refreshing and super enjoyable to sip on post-workout, I even use it as my favorite mocktail with ice and tonic water. Delicious and good for you.

This year, Amacx launched their biggest performance product yet: Beet Shot

If Tart Cherry Juice was about recovery, Beet Shot is about performance.

This isn't a new concept. Beet-It from the UK has been on this for a while. But Amacx upped the nitrate dose and improved the flavor.

And I mean improved. The taste is way way better than any beet shot I've ever tried. Most taste like dirt mixed with sugar. This one? Actually enjoyable.

It's a ready-to-drink 60ml shot.

Here's what it does:

Your body converts the nitrate to nitric oxide. Nitric oxide dilates your blood vessels. More blood flow = more oxygen to your working muscles. You stay aerobic longer. The threshold that used to bury you becomes sustainable.

500mg nitrate per shot (more than most options). Only 41 calories, 0.9g sugar. 80mg Vitamin C. NZVT certified (Dutch anti-doping). Actually tastes good.

Protocol:

Take 1-2 shots, 2-3 hours before your workout or race.

Stack it with SwissRX Nitric Oxide Pro (2 capsules every morning) for 24hr baseline. Beet Shot gives you the acute spike. Nitric Oxide Pro gives you the daily foundation. Together? You get both.

This isn't a race-day-only product.

You build fitness by pushing your limits in training. A performance booster like Beet Shot lets you push harder or longer (or both). That extra output is what makes you fitter for race day.

For me, any cardio and especially any high-intensity session — I'm taking it.
