Dear Friend,

Today we'd like to share a video from Fr. Adam Marchese, a priest serving the Archdiocese for the Military Services, who is currently deployed in the Middle East. He expresses his gratitude to Word on Fire for donations from the Works of Mercy Fund. Watch here.

The Works of Mercy Fund allows chaplains like Fr. Marchese to provide free educational resources to soldiers deployed overseas. In just a few short months, he says, more than fifteen soldiers reached out to him seeking the sacraments of initiation. Will you make a gift in support of the Works of Mercy Fund?

MAKE A GIFT

Fr. Marchese continues, "Countless soldiers have come back to the sacraments after decades of being separated from our Lord—coming through the sacrament of reconciliation to receive our Eucharistic Lord. And as they do, as they're hungry for the Eucharist, they're also hungry to dive deeper into their faith."

He explains that having these educational materials is a tremendous benefit for the soldiers. It enables them to encounter one another and the Lord through small group studies and other opportunities while deployed.

To date, Word on Fire has distributed free resources to 31 military bases. Please prayerfully consider making a generous donation to the Works of Mercy Fund so that you may help Word on Fire continue to reach out to the military and bring more souls to Christ.

God bless you,

The Word on Fire Team

P.S. With a gift of $75 or more, you will receive a copy of our new book on the corporal and spiritual works of mercy by Bishop Barron, which is a donor-exclusive gift.
