Amid all the talk of affordability, you might be surprised to learn that President Donald Trump would like to see home prices go up, not down.

Will Warsh wash as Fed chair?

After a long and closely watched search, President Trump has made his pick to replace Jerome Powell as chair of the Federal Reserve. It's Kevin Warsh, a former Fed governor who is widely viewed as a reasonable choice for the job.

Is another shutdown coming?

Another shutdown? Yes, there's talk of that.

On Thursday, the Senate reached a deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security for a mere two weeks. Lawmakers are working on a larger spending package to avoid a partial shutdown.
