We picked 15 books across genres to make sure there's something for every reader – dark academia fantasy, self-care memoirs, twisty thrillers, seaside family dramas and so much more. And of course, I have to spotlight a few of my personal favorites. |
"Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil" (out June 10) is up there in my top reads of the year so far. While it's a whopping 500 pages, this gothic vampire novel from V. E. Schwab is a page-turner and I devoured it in just a few sittings (no pun intended). I also loved Sophie Elmhirst's "A Marriage at Sea," a nonfiction book that reads like fiction, telling the story of a married couple who survived at sea for weeks on only a life raft. It's the perfect captivating summer read. And Taylor Jenkins Reid's highly anticipated latest, "Atmosphere," is brimming with heart, curiosity and appreciation for humankind. | Most anticipated summer reads for 2025, according to USA TODAY. Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, MacMillan, HarperCollins, W.W. Norton |
