Hi there OnPolitics readers! We bring you an exclusive today.

The Biden Administration is focusing on combating homelessness in five cities and the state of California through a new initiative described to USA TODAY.

The administration will send a federal official into each community for up to two years to help cut red tape and better access federal programs, according to a plan that was unveiled today, reporter Maureen Groppe writes.

Why this matters: This initiative, named "ALL INside," is a key part of President Joe Biden's goal to reduced homelessness by 25% by 2025.

Where it's happening: The cities of Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Seattle, in addition to the state of California. These locations account for half of the nation's unhoused population.
