The House committee leading the historic probe into the Jan. 6 Capitol attack is set to present its findings Monday afternoon.

Hello hello, OnPolitics readers!

After 18-months investigating the role former President Donald Trump played in the Jan. 6, 2021 U.S. Capitol attack, the House committee leading the historic probe is set to present its findings Monday afternoon

The panel's chairman, Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., told reporters that Monday's hearing will include votes on criminal recommendations — possibly for the former president himself — and the committee's final report.

The committee could also recommend actions to be taken by state bar associations about lawyers, to the Federal Election Commission about campaign violations and to the House Ethics Committee about lawmakers, Thompson said.

We'll be covering the hearing live, which begins at 1 p.m. ET Monday. Watch this space.
