World News: Talking Tech: We say goodbye to Internet Explorer

And we're kicking off with a goodbye. If you're reading this, it's not on Internet Explorer, because Microsoft retired the longtime web browser after 27 years.

If you try to click on the IE icon, you'll get redirected to Microsoft Edge, the new and improved successor to Explorer.

IE had been a staple for PCs for years. For some users, it was essential for exactly what its name implies: exploring the web. But over time, the browser showed its age, bested by alternatives in Google Chrome and Mozilla's Firefox.

But, look, 27 years is a pretty good run in tech.
