Talking Tech

Thursday, February 10

Three days until Super Bowl Sunday, dear readers, when we'll be swimming in a sea of nacho cheese, championship football and the one and only D-O-double-G.

Of course, one the questions you might have is how do I stream this year's game between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals?

NBC hosts this year, which means you can watch through the broadcaster's websites as well as its subscription service, Peacock. But keep in mind you have to sign up for Premium which costs $5 a month.

There's also the variety of live TV services like Sling, YouTube TV and others offering NBC among their subscription packages. Bonus: they also offer free trials if you don't want to lock in for a subscription.

If you find yourself away from the TV for any reason, there's always your phone. Most live TV services have apps, not to mention the NFL and Yahoo Sports! will stream for free on their apps, as well.

Now you can focus on that Cincinnati chili recipe.

What else happened in tech?

SAMSUNG'S NEW IPHONE RIVAL. The electronics giant unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S22. You can preorder it now, and it goes on sale Feb. 25. So how does Samsung's new smartphones compare to the iPhone 13? And just how good are those new cameras on the S22?

BUYING S22 THROUGH VERIZON? Either pay up front or sign up for a three-year contract.

CLIMATE CHANGE. Amazon and Google pledged to fight it, but are they, really?

WORDLE. A math expert tried to determine the best starting words to use.
