Saturday, March 20

Great week for acronyms in technology. NFT. VR. OLED.

Sometimes, unless you're a total lover of tech, it makes you want to scratch your head and go "WTH."

There's probably no topic better at causing confusion than the NFT, short for non-fungible token. Frankly, there are times when I hear the word "blockchain" and feel my head start to spin.

So what is a non-fungible token? And what does it have to do with blockchains? We've got some of those answers.

What else happened in Tech?

These are Sony's new virtual reality controllers. They will launch with the next version of PlayStation VR planned for its PS5 video game console.

Instagram for kids? Facebook is exploring the possibility of introducing a version of its popular social media app for children under 13.

In the market for a LG OLED TV? Turns out the 2021 models look better than ever.

Your iPhone storage full?  Here are three ways to free up some more space.

Game break

March 20 marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" for the Nintendo Switch. As quarantining due to the COVID pandemic ramped up, the charming adventure provided players with a sanctuary away from hand sanitizers and masks. If you need more games that soothe your souls, try one of these nine gems. Meanwhile, the hit multiplayer game "Among Us"  has a new map.
