It's Friday, money readers. After some grim headlines on unemployment this morning, we're here to explain what the numbers mean. Let's take a look.

April's unemployment rate more than tripled to 14.7%, as COVID-19 forced 20.5 million job losses. Layoffs and furloughs mounted and hiring evaporated as businesses closed their doors to curb the spread of the virus.

If you're wondering if your favorite store will benefit as states reopen, first look over our list of retailers who are most at risk of disappearing. Many already struggled before the pandemic hit, but the loss of shoppers has only made things worse.
