Breaking Silicon Valley's Glass Ceiling

In 2013, engineer Tracy Chou penned a blog post that would become a major force in breaking the glass ceiling in Silicon Valley. After working at some of the top tech companies in the country, Tracy laid witness to the obvious lack of diversity in her industry. She decided to bring attention to the issue, resulting in companies like Google and Facebook making their own diversity data public.

Discovering and Rediscovering Asia's Longest Cave

At 186 miles in length, Shuanghe Cave in China's Guizhou province holds the honor of being the longest cave in Asia. No one knows it better than 61-year-old farmer Zhao Zhongguo. He's spent the past three decades exploring the cave complex and mapping it all by hand. Now, his discoveries have inspired scientists and government officials to survey the surrounding region.
