Tucked away in America's heartland, a group of refugees from South Sudan are learning to play ball with the best of them. Omaha, Nebraska, is home to the largest South Sudanese refugee population outside of Africa, and these new residents are fostering a community of top-rated basketball players.

Champion for a Cause: Competing for the First Olympic Refugee Team

Popole Misenga and Yolande Mabika were two of 10 refugees selected for the first Olympic refugee team. They both fled civil conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in the 2016 Olympics they competed without a country. By competing in Judo at the 2016 Olympics, these athletes brought their fight and their story to a global arena.
