Search and rescue underway: Search and rescue operations in central Texas entered their fifth day on Tuesday after heavy rainfall overwhelmed the Guadalupe River. More than 100 people have been killed after floodwaters roared through homes and summer camps. Trump said on Tuesday that he's not extending his latest tariff deadline of Aug. 1 any further. It's part of a pressure campaign on longtime U.S. allies to negotiate new trade deals. You may have to keep your shoes on! | Take your laptop out of your bag and make sure your liquids are in a gallon-size bag – but keep your shoes on! The long-standing policy requiring most passengers to remove their shoes at TSA checkpoints is no longer in effect, said Kristi Noem, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees the Transportation Security Administration. Noem said the new policy goes into effect immediately nationwide.
