Netanyahu comes to DC

Trump and Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said they would seek other countries to relocate Palestinians as part of ending Israel's war with Hamas. Netanyahu met with Trump at the White House on Monday and stopped by Capitol Hill on Tuesday.

The United States has long stood behind a two-state solution that includes recognition of an independent Palestinian state. However, Trump called in February for America to take over the Gaza Strip, and Netanyahu has rejected the two-state path for years. However, Netanyahu told reporters that "Trump is bringing a vision" for the region by seeking other countries to relocate Palestinians. Where do ceasefire talks stand.

Iran talks to resume: During his meeting with Netanyahu on Monday, Trump said the United States and Iranian officials will be meeting soon. It's a return to diplomacy after the U.S. bombed Iran's nuclear sites, and the country retaliated. Before the U.S. bombing in Iran, the Trump administration had been engaging in negotiations with Iranian officials over limiting the country's nuclear program. Trump said Iran officials "want to talk."

Trump tells countries to pay up

Trump said he's not extending his latest tariff deadline any further – amping up his administration's pressure campaign on longtime U.S. allies to negotiate new trade deals. Trump said he's sticking to a new Aug. 1 starting date for higher tariffs to go into effect as he sends letters to leaders of nations across the world alerting them to new U.S. tariff rates on goods from their countries. Trump set to visit flood-ravaged Texas

As Texas reels from devastating floods that left more than 100 people dead, Trump said he'd visit the state on Friday. Trump on Sunday said he would have visited central Texas that day but didn't want to "be in their way." Search and rescue operations in central Texas entered their fifth day on Tuesday after heavy rainfall overwhelmed the Guadalupe River. Trump did not say where in Texas he would visit.
