Boulder suspect charged with federal hate crime | The man accused of setting eight people on fire at a pro-Israel protest in Boulder, Colorado, has been charged with a federal hate crime. Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, told investigators that he wanted to kill all Zionist people and wished all of them were dead, according to an FBI affidavit released on Monday. Soliman is also facing federal attempted murder charges, as well as state charges of attempted murder, use of incendiary devices, and other offenses. Soliman is accused of attacking the weekly "Run for Their Lives" demonstration on June 1 with a makeshift flamethrower and fire bombs. Chaos unfolds in San Diego ICE raid | Armed agents wore tactical gear. Flash-bang grenades were fired into the crowd at a popular San Diego Italian restaurant. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities raided the restaurant on May 30, arresting several kitchen workers, while community members confronted agents. It was one of the latest chaotic scenes to unfold as President Donald Trump's crackdown on immigration. It followed a panicked scene at a Tallahassee, Florida, construction site where more than 100 people were detained in one of Florida's largest single-day immigration raids. Italy's Mount Etna, Europe's tallest volcano, erupted on Monday. Etna, located on Sicily, joins Hawaii's Kilauea as one of 47 volcanoes actively erupting this year. Several videos posted online showed people scurrying for cover from the eruption, which was "probably produced by the collapse of material from the northern side of the Southeast Crater," Italy's National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology wrote in a post on Facebook. 🌋 Watch video of the explosion. | Volcanic steam rises from Mount Etna, near Motta Camastra, Sicily, Italy, June 2, 2025.
