Notre Dame says we're finished

Notre Dame saw its College Football Playoff dreams dashed Sunday, with the Fighting Irish getting left out of the 12-team College Football Playoff field.

The final CFP rankings bumped James Madison into the tournament over ACC champion Duke and Miami instead of the Fighting Irish for the final at-large spot. Say dramatic bracket reveal three times fast.

The move not only ended Notre Dame's playoff hopes, but also the entire season: Notre Dame subsequently withdrew its name from bowl consideration, with the program announcing the decision in a statement.

Not surprisingly, Notre Dame's decision has generated heated opinions. Meanwhile, here's who is playing in the postseason lineup.
