President Donald Trump had some choice words for critics of his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case. A basketball star got injured – again. And see who will take up the sword and bow in the new live-action of this classic game.

👋 Hi! Rebecca Morin here. It's a sunny day here in DC. So let today's news shine down!

But first: South Florida's newest weapon: robo-bunny. Scientists are hoping robotic bunnies will end the reign of Burmese pythons that have terrorized the Florida Everglades for years.

The president's Epstein backlash

"Weaklings" who have been "duped." That's what President Donald Trump called his supporters who are upset with his administration's handling of records related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Attorney General Pam Bondi previously promised to release new information about Epstein, an investment banker whose many powerful connections included names like former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew and Trump himself. Epstein was in jail facing charges of sexually abusing and trafficking dozens of minor girls when he died in 2019. Now, some of Trump's staunchest MAGA allies, as well as some Democrats, are raising questions after the Justice Department last week said Epstein died by suicide and no "client list" of his exists. 👉 Trump is now calling Epstein's case a "hoax."

Criminal charges recommended in death of influencer's child

Police are recommending that Brady Kiser, the husband of influencer Emilie Kiser, should face a Class 4 felony charge of child abuse after the death of Trigg, their 3-year-old son, in May. Brady Kiser told police he was watching the couple's newborn son when Trigg fell into the family's pool in Chandler, Arizona. The death was labeled as an accidental drowning. Emilie Kiser, 26, is a social media influencer who shares lifestyle content with more than 4 million followers on TikTok. 👉 Prosecutors will review the recommended charge.

Injury fever in the WNBA

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark can't escape the injury bug – and now it's unclear whether she will play Wednesday evening's game against the New York Liberty. Clark sustained a right groin injury on Tuesday against the Connecticut Sun. It's been a rough season on the injury front for Clark, one of the WNBA's biggest young stars and last season's Rookie of the Year. A quad injury on May 24 and a left groin injury on June 24 caused her to five games each. Tuesday was her fourth game back since her previous injury. 🏀 Clark could also miss the All-Star game, held on her home court.

Nintendo on Wednesday announced the two leads for a live-action film based on the "Legend of Zelda" franchise: Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will play Link while Bo Bragason will play Princess Zelda. In the video games, Link is generally the main character, who sets out to save the kingdom of Hyrule from the evil Ganon, though some games have featured Zelda as a playable character. The "Zelda" movie will be the next major Nintendo game to be turned into a feature film after the success of 2023's "The Super Mario Bros. Movie." ⚔️ Here's what to know about the "Zelda" movie.
