Federal workers face a Monday night deadline after another surprise email from Elon Musk. MSNBC and NBC are shaking up their evening news broadcasts. And don't worry, we've got you covered on everything you may not have seen on TV at the SAG Awards.

👋 How's it going? Rebecca Morin here. I'm caffeinated. I went on a jog this morning. And I'm ready to bring you Monday's news. Let's go!

But first: Water on the moon? 🌖 A new lunar lander will carry NASA technology on a mission to hunt for water beneath the moon's surface.

Musk wants to know what federal workers did last week – or else

Elon Musk, the world's richest man and special adviser to President Donald Trump, hit federal workers with an email over the weekend asking for "5 bullets of what you accomplished last week." And if they do not respond by midnight Monday, it will be taken as a resignation, Musk said. The new email is part of Trump and Musk's efforts to cut the federal workforce after implementing mass layoffs over the past few weeks.

Not all on board: But agencies were divided on how to respond. Managers at departments including defense, homeland security, education and commerce advised their employees not to answer the email as they sought clearer legal guidance. 👉 What to know about the new ultimatum.

Three years of war in Ukraine

Monday marks three years since Russian troops invaded Ukraine in what has become the biggest and bloodiest conflict in Europe since World War II. Ukraine has fought back in the war in large part through support from the United States and European allies – but that is changing under the Trump administration. Trump has lashed out at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, blamed him for the Russian invasion and begun negotiating with Russia without Ukrainian representation. 👉 What led to a U-turn on U.S. policy.

Evening news shakeup

Your nightly TV news is going to look a little different. Joy Reid is leaving MSNBC after her show, "The ReidOut," was canceled by the network. Reid, who has been with the MSNBC for more than a decade, hosted several shows throughout her tenure, including "The Reid Report" and "AM Joy." Reid's 7 p.m. time slot will now be anchored by a trio: Symone Sanders-Townsend, Michael Steele and Alicia Menendez. 📺 See other MSNBC programming changes.

Nightly News switch: That's not the only change happening. After a decade of hosting "NBC Nightly News," Lester Holt will be stepping down as anchor this summer. He's still sticking around NBC, however, and will become a full-time anchor for "Dateline." 📺 What Holt said about his new role.

And as the movie "Emilia Perez" is shrouded with controversy, co-stars Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña shared a quick hug backstage after their wins. 🏆 What you didn't see on TV
