Estranged from family over politics? Research shows you're not alone.

Thanksgiving is Nov. 28, 2024. Thanksgiving's origins may not be as accurate as the tales that appear in children's stories or high school textbooks, but many see the day as an opportunity to enjoy the company of loved ones and show gratitude.

One in two adults is estranged from a close relation today. Of those estranged over politics, almost half say the break occurred within the last year.
