Honestly it feels like there is so much going on while also nothing is happening. The border is a mess. The situation in Gaza is a mess. Congress is a mess. And yet they've all been messes for a very long time.

But as long as the world keeps trying to figure itself out, we will keep writing words about it. So today we have a variety of things to pick from in our spotlight list and a handful of items we think you won't want to miss.

Hope you're all having a good year so far. Things are not going to get any cleaner going forward.
