It's Biden vs. Trump. Deal with it.

We are at the annoying part of the 2024 election where we have to pretend that we don't already know who the candidates are going to be. Michigan was the latest state to go through the motion and fabricated angst over who would win that primary.  

Social media was all spun up with the Associated Press called the races for Donald Trump and Joe Biden, without really mentioning those races were called as soon as the ballots closed. It was never in doubt.  

So why all the franticness over it? This is what USA TODAY Columnist Rex Huppke wants to know

A lot of the everyday online platforms that many use to connect with friends and family, gain information or run a business provide a place to create user-generated content. As a result, most platforms require some content moderation. The Supreme Court on Feb. 26, 2024, sounded skeptical of the broad sweep of laws passed by Texas and Florida to regulate social media companies like Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and X, but the justices struggled with how to assess huge   First Amendment implications.
