While a better work-life balance may benefit your mental health, taking a  pay cut could negatively impact your financial health, advisers warn. It's important to understand the financial consequences of doing so now and, especially, in retirement.

Student loan payments are back. Some borrowers don't care

Most student loan borrowers aren't cutting back on spending, even though payments have resumed, a new survey says.

Student loan payments resumed in October after a pause of more than three years, Zachary Schermele reports. Yet, most borrowers who responded to a University of Michigan poll said they aren't spending less.

The finding echoes what Paul Davidson wrote in December about how student loan payments impact the economy.

Dollar General is now offering fresh produce in more than 5,000 stores across the country, the company said, reportedly meaning the chain now "has more individual points of produce distribution than any other U.S. mass retailer or grocer."

The firm told USA TODAY its stores now carry the top 20 items that would typically be sold in grocery stores, including tomatoes, onions, apples and strawberries.

It makes you wonder how they'll handle items that tend to cost more than a dollar: Pineapples. Artichokes. I guess we'll just have to head to a Dollar General and find out.
