Police: Suspect dead after shooting on UNLV campus | A shooting suspect is dead after spraying bullets into crowds at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus on Wednesday. The shooting injured at least three and caused panic among students. The university confirmed shortly after noon local time that there was an active shooter at Frank and Estella Beam Hall. The college said 20 minutes later that there was an additional report of shots fired at the Student Union. Shortly after 12:30 p.m. local time, Las Vegas police said the suspect had been found dead. 4 soldiers charged with Ukraine war crimes by US | Four Russia-affiliated soldiers were indicted on charges of war crimes in the Ukraine conflict for allegedly locking up and torturing a U.S. citizen after the invasion in February 2022, the Justice Department announced Wednesday. The charges are the first ever brought under a U.S. war crimes law. The defendants are charged with three war crimes – unlawful confinement, torture and inhumane treatment – and one count of conspiracy to commit war crimes.
