Do Republicans want to lose?

The Republicans finally got around to nominating a speaker and the full House decided to go ahead and approve it. But now what?

The House finally has a speaker. That's a good thing. But what does all of the dysfunctional and Republican turmoil that got us here mean for the party?

This is what our latest column on Congress is examining. Specifically, our column is asking Republicans why they are so insistent on helping President Joe Biden win re-election.

The author is from communist China. What more do you need to know?

What counts is not where Nebraska reporter Yanqi Xu was born, but where she chose to practice journalism: An America where the press is (so far) free.

In an effort to shut down homegrown meth labs in which people converted oral decongestants containing pseudoephedrine into methamphetamine, Congress in 2005 passed the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act. Pseudoephedrine-containing products had to move behind the counter, and pharmacists had to register and track people who purchased them. So their customers could continue buying their products over the counter and avoid the stigma of registering to purchase   pseudoephedrine, many drugmakers substituted pseudoephedrine with phenylephrine.
