One new variant of the virus, officially called BA.2.86, looked pretty scary initially, but data out this week suggests it's "not even a tropical storm" − at least for now. It's no wonder: Since February 2020, overall prices have jumped nearly 17.5%, which means what cost you $100 before the pandemic now costs you about $17.50 more.
