Well we made it! It's Friday and it's Charisse Jones with the headlines to keep you in the know going into the weekend. |
Some swaths of the U.S. that lost population during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic are now gaining residents. |
Maricopa County, Arizona, home to Phoenix, gained the most adding 56,831 residents. Harris County, Texas, home to Houston, was next, growing by 45,626. New York County, home to Manhattan, and Dallas County, Texas, where Dallas is located, also gained thousands of new residents. In addition to migration, births and deaths also factored into the calculations. |
Some parts of the U.S. however continued to see their populations shrink including Los Angeles County and Cook County, Illinois. |
Chrysler recalls some Jeep Wranglers |
Chrysler said in a report filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Administration that 57,885 Jeep Wranglers are being recalled because 58% of those vehicles are believed to have an "unnecessary and unused frame stud" that could puncture the fuel tank in the event of a crash. |
