Hi there, OnPolitics readers! After last night's Trump news, we're looking to what's next.

Former president Donald Trump will surrender to New York authorities following his indictment by a Manhattan grand jury, but won't consider a plea deal, according to his lawyer.

Trump's reaction: The former president "initially was shocked" at news of the grand jury's vote to indict him, Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina told NBC's "Today" show Friday.

"President Trump will not take a plea deal in this case. It's not going to happen. There's no crime," Tacopina added.

What we know: While the charges have yet to be made public, legal experts say the charges could come from the $130,000 payment former Trump lawyer  Michael Cohen said he arranged from Trump to adult film star Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence prior to the 2016 presidential election.

The grand jury has been investigating Trump for hush money payments to two woman who've claimed to have had sex with the former president.

What's next?: Trump is expected in New York by Tuesday for arraignment, according to Tacopina.
