Read in browser Read in browser On Politics Thu Mar 2 2023 Hi there, OnPolitics readers!  The Justice Department announced today that former President Donald Trump can be sued for inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The DOJ said Trump doesn't deserve absolute immunity from three civil lawsuits accusing him of inciting the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021.  As Justice Department correspondent Bart Jansen reports:  "No part of a President's official responsibilities includes the incitement of imminent private violence," department lawyers said in an appeals court filing. "By definition, such conduct plainly falls outside the President's constitutional and statutory duties." Now, it's up to a three-panel of the D.C.
