Hi there, OnPolitics readers!

This week, all ๐Ÿ‘€ are on the Supreme Court as the conservative majority is set to take on President Joe Biden's $400 billion student loan forgiveness plan tomorrow.

And the odds aren't looking too good for the president. As Supreme Court Correspondent John Fritze reports:

Biden's proposal, which would forgive up to $20,000 for some borrowers, is almost certain to be in for a rough ride before a court with a 6-3 conservative majority and an increasingly skeptical view of agencies acting without clear approval from Congress.

And the decision may have an impact far beyond student loans.

Biden's proposal, which would forgive up to $20,000 for some borrowers, is likely to face sharp questioning from the Supreme Court's conservatives.

Erasing student loan debt may not hinge on Biden's big forgiveness plan

President Joe Biden's mass student loan forgiveness plan would reach tens of millions of borrowers. Even if it's killed, there are other options.

Why Biden's student loan forgiveness may die at the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court's decision could torpedo President Biden's ability to pursue other policies unilaterally – such as on abortion and immigration.

The plan could be undone over whether Biden overstepped his authority. Borrowers likely won't know what will become of their debts for several months.
