The biggest item: The release of former President Donald Trump's tax returns to the general public Friday morning.

Among the nearly 6,000 pages in the release:

•	Six years of tax returns for the time he was president and campaigned for the presidency, from 2015 to 2020
•	Personal returns filed by Donald Trump and his wife, Melania
•	Business returns for a handful of entities, including DJT Holdings and DJT Managing Member LLC

🗎 What we know: Trump tax returns release spans nearly 6,000 pages across dozens of files

It's the final piece of the Democrat-led House Ways and Means Committee's investigation into the IRS' mandatory audit program. An earlier report from the House committee found the IRS failed for years to complete a 'mandatory' audit of President Donald Trump's tax returns.

In response, Trump blasted Democrats for releasing his returns Friday, arguing the premise that it would guide tax law changes is baseless.
