Good morning and happy Tuesday, Daily Money readers. it's Jayme Deerwester here this Tuesday morning, annoying my dog by focusing on you guys instead of her.

🌯 Food news 🌯

Speaking of dogs, if yours has been known to chew your footwear, maybe buying Adidas' new Waffle House-themed golf shoes  isn't such a hot idea. The shoes, available Thursday – the same day as the opening round of the 86th Masters golf tournament in Georgia – boast an off-white color similar to waffle batter. The three stripes on the sides will sport a brown, checkered waffle pattern resembling the color of a cooked Waffle House waffle. No word on whether they're also maple-scented to disguise the smell of stanky feet.

Thursday is also National Burrito Day, which marks the launch of the Chipotle Burrito Builder on Roblox.  The first 100,000 Roblox players to successfully roll a burrito will earn enough Burrito Bucks to exchange for an entrée code that can be used on the Chipotle app or the chain's website in the U.S. and Canada. The codes will be available while supplies last and are valid through April 13.

Pocket change is in short supply – again. While some will call it the great coin shortage of 2022, America is actually facing a coin circulation problem.

Now, a group of trade associations that represent individual businesses including banks, retail outlets, truck stops, grocery stores and more is asking the Treasury Department for more help convincing Americans to get coins back in circulation, similar to efforts that began in summer 2020.

The Retail Industry Leaders Association said in a letter dated March 21 to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen that they want to "meet the demand for coins and ultimately help consumers who rely on cash transactions in their daily lives."

The letter said the "consequences of a coin circulation slowdown fall hardest on consumers that do not have the ability to pay electronically. If retailers are not able to offer change for cash purchases consumers who rely on cash will be vulnerable."

 💵 Teachers and taxes 💵

If you're a teacher who routinely spends money on classroom supplies, it's important you keep a list of those receipts. The reason? You can get some money back on your taxes, advises the Motley Fool.

As a teacher, you deserve to reap as many tax benefits as you can. And you should know that you can claim up to $250 as a tax deduction if you spend that much on educator expenses like the ones mentioned above. If you're married to another teacher and file a joint tax return, you can each claim that $250 deduction for a total of $500.

🎧 Mood music 🎧

Today's lyric comes from "Waffles and Pancakes," the Moonies' take on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's hit "WAP."

"Bake it up, baby, whisk it fast.  Extra delicious, make it last. Put this wafflе right in your mouth. It's like cheese to a little mousе."

LISTEN WHILE YOU WORK: Remember, you can listen to this song and every track I've quoted in the newsletter in the Daily Money Mood Music playlist on Spotify.
