World News: Talking Tech: Ready to fix your own iPhones? 📱📱📱

Happy Thursday! It's Brett Molina back and counting down the days before the great Thanksgiving feast. 🦃 🦃 🦃

Let's start with your iPhone (if you own one). Apple is rolling out a new program to allow you to fix it yourself.

It's called Apple Self Service Repair, and it kicks off next year. Need a new camera, battery or screen? You go to Apple's website, then carefully study manuals on your repair.

If you're feeling really confident, you can then order the appropriate parts or tools and DIY that smartphone fix. Apple does stress, though, you should consider this if you have experience with fixing electronics.

Ever have that experience, or know someone who has, where you try to fix something at home, then discover it's harder than you thought or you broke something in the process, only to pay more for an actual expert to fix it for more money?

I worry about the poor DIYers trying to repair their iPhones only to bring their crumpled tech mess to an Apple store for help (for the record, that would 100% be me).

I'll stick to letting an expert fix it for now.
