The Daily Money

Tuesday, February 2

Good morning, Daily Money subscribers, it's Money reporter Nathan Bomey. If you're in the Northeast, stay safe out there – that snowstorm is no joke.

On to today's Money & Tech news.

We're still reeling from the drama surrounding GameStop, AMC and other struggling stocks that soared suddenly in a form of digital retribution aimed at Wall Street hedge funds.

What's it been like for the Reddit users who capitalized on the upswing? Check out Jessica Menton's story to read about the tale of one man who turned $30,000 into $280,000.

Next up? Redditors are apparently targeting silver now. That's right, the same commodity that Yukon Cornelius famously coveted in "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

Aside from stock prices, it's been an incredibly dreary time for the economy since the pandemic started. But the Congressional Budget Office is projecting that the economy will return to its pre-pandemic size this year.

Check out more news below.
