World News: Talking Tech: The end of an era at Amazon

This week marked a major milestone for Amazon.

Jeff Bezos, the founder of one of the world's largest retailers, announced he was stepping down as CEO. Andy Jassy will take over as chief executive once the transition in leadership wraps by summer.

Bezos isn't going away completely, though. He stays on as executive chair, putting his energies toward other projects including his aerospace company Blue Origin.

Jassy will face multiple challenges in his new role. For one, the tech giant is massive. Remember when you'd only go there to buy books online? Now, they sell practically everything. Then there's Amazon Web Services, the cloud division Jassy help build that's raked in billions for Amazon, not to mention the countless other industries Amazon has or will enter.
