Happy Hump Day, Daily Money readers! Only 21 more days until the end of 2020, in case you are keeping count. Let's check out Wednesday's top Money and Tech headlines.

Yep, the rich are the getting richer, and they're doing it at a much faster pace. Earnings for the top 1% jumped 20%, while pay for the bottom 90% of workers climbed 8.7%, according to the Economic Policy Institute. Another key finding: average pay for the bottom 90% increased 26%. For the 1%, it surged by more than 160%. Must be nice.

With the end of the year approaching, it's a good time to give that 401(k) some love. These three steps will ensure you're making the most out of your savings.

Finally, it's no surprise the presidential election and coronavirus dominated the year. So, of course, they also topped Google's list of trending searches in the U.S. in 2020.

Scroll down for more headlines, and thanks for reading.
