The Daily Money

Friday, June 26

It's finally Friday, Daily Money readers. We are another step closer to the weekend. It's Brett Molina here to bring you the latest Money and Tech headlines.

Let's start with Facebook, which has endured backlash over the spread of hate speech on its platform. Several advertisers have joined forces to pull ads from Facebook as protest for the company's inaction. The ad boycott just netted a big ally: Verizon.

Thursday was a big night for Ford, as the U.S. automaker unveiled the 2021 F-150 pickup truck. The redesigned model includes some interesting features such as a disappearing shifter and hands-free highway driving.

Finally, some good news and bad news from Costco. First, the good stuff: the warehouse retailer is bringing back samples. The big difference is the samples will be individually packaged and placed behind plexiglass. The bad news? They will no longer sell sheet cakes.
