The Daily Money

Thursday, June 25

Happy Friday Eve, Daily Money readers! It's Brett Molina here to not only remind you we're one day closer to the weekend, but to bring your Thursday headlines in Money and Tech.

Many unemployed Americans have been counting on additional federal benefits to help them navigate the coronavirus pandemic. While that extra $600 is expected to go away by July 31, it might happen even sooner. Many states say they will pay out the federal benefit through the week ending July 25 or July 26.

It may be the end of an era for popular kids destination Chuck E. Cheese. The chain's parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company was already dealing with massive debt linked to a private equity buyout before the pandemic forced the temporary closures of Chuck E. Cheese locations.

Finally, you will soon be able to add fresh and frozen groceries to your Target curbside pickup order.
