What the [redacted] is going on in Iowa?

Iowa is still figuring out caucus results. Trump is about to give the State of the Union address. And an impeachment vote is looming. All eyes remain on Iowa as the caucuses have slowly unraveled into pure chaos. But today, hopefully, maybe, we will find out which Democratic presidential candidate is crowned the winner.

It's Ashley with the news to know Tuesday. And the news is long from over: Tune in at 9 p.m. EST for President Donald Trump's State of the Union. Here's how to watch.

But first, Netflix and chill: A rare salamander didn't move for seven years, according to researchers. So don't feel too bad when Netflix rudely asks "Are you still watching?"

What if we told you that Iowa was still counting?

A day after the Iowa caucuses, the state's Democratic Party released some results, but could not yet determine a winner after a nearly 24-hour delay. To recap the caucus meltdown better than I ever could, I asked our 2020 editor, Annah Aschbrenner, what we need to know:

"Iowa Democrats had to deal with a faulty app to report results, a bogged down backup phone line and triple the results as previous years. We ended up with no winner declared at the end of the night, results delayed almost 24 hours and serious questions about whether the Iowa caucuses will continue for another presidential cycle. Meanwhile, Trump handily won the Republican side of the caucuses."

Actress Shannen Doherty reveals she has stage 4 cancer

Shannen Doherty, in an emotional "Good Morning America" sit down, revealed she's battling stage 4 cancer,  several years after finishing treatment for breast cancer. The "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum, 48, said Tuesday she has been privately living with cancer again during the past year. She did not specifically name what type of cancer she has, but GMA reported it is a resurgence. "It's a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways," Doherty said. "I definitely have days where I say, 'Why me?' And then I go, 'Well, why not me? Who else besides me deserves this?' None of us do."

Get ready for Trump's State of the Union address

Trump is set to deliver his third State of the Union address on Tuesday  night, a day before the Senate is scheduled to vote on whether to remove him from office (more on that tomorrow, y'all). What should you expect? Trump's dubbed this year's speech "the Great American Comeback," so he'll definitely use the address to tout his record on the economy and – perhaps – take an early victory lap on the impeachment trial. The president is scheduled to begin his speech at 9 p.m. EST and it will be widely available to watch online, even if you've ditched cable

Not the greatest ending to a cruise ship vacation

More than 3,500 people were quarantined on a Princess Cruises ship after one of its passengers tested positive for coronavirus. A guest from Hong Kong disembarked Jan. 25 from the Diamond Princess while the ship docked in Hong Kong to visit a local hospital, where he was diagnosed with the virus. The 14-day cruise, which was scheduled to return to port in Yokohama, Japan, on Tuesday has been delayed for 24 hours to allow the medical teams to do their work. Chinese health officials acknowledged "shortcomings" in their initial response to the fast-spreading virus  as the death toll soared above 400 as of Tuesday.

No, not the fireflies!

One of summer's most enduring sights may be extinguished forever in some parts of the world. Fireflies, aka lightning bugs, are facing a triple extinction threat from habitat loss, artificial light and pesticide use, new research suggests. Loss of habitat is the primary threat, scientists say: "Lots of wildlife species are declining because their habitat is shrinking," said study lead author Sara Lewis of Tufts University.
