| Today, for the first time in my life, I heard special counsel Robert Mueller's voice. The investigator pointedly refused to clear President Donald Trump of criminal wrongdoing in his first public comments on the Russia investigation. But, Mueller said, charging Trump with obstruction was "not an option." Why? Justice Department rules wouldn't let him prosecute a sitting president. |

Alex Trebek is in 'near remission.' What is good news? |
| "Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek revealed that some of his tumors have shrunk "more than 50%, " months after announcing his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. In a People interview published Wednesday, Trebek said he's in "near remission," according to doctors. "It's kind of mind-boggling," he said. "The doctors said they hadn't seen this kind of positive result in their memory." Trebek credited his improvements to his supportive fans. "I've got a lot of love out there headed in my direction and a lot of prayers, and I will never ever minimize the value of that," he said. |

Arkansas' 'slow-motion disaster' |
| Every large community along the Arkansas River will see major or record flooding within the next seven to 10 days as swift-moving water from heavy rain challenges Arkansas' aging levee system, the National Weather Service said Wednesday. One death in Arkansas was attributed to the floods. More heavy rain is on the way, and Arkansas is not alone. Record flooding is creating havoc in Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and northeast Oklahoma. Eight states along the Mississippi have seen the longest period of flooding since the Great Flood of 1927, according to the weather service. |

Trump slammed Obama for using Air Force One to campaign. Now he's doing it. |
| President Trump relies on the iconic blue-and-white jet for campaigning, raising long-standing questions about how taxpayer money is used for political travel. Trump's not alone: "Taxpayers are paying a fortune for the use of Air Force One on the campaign trail by President Obama and Crooked Hillary," Trump tweeted in 2016. Indeed, President Barack Obama and President George W. Bush used Air Force One for trips focused on official business, campaigning or a mix of both. |
