Move and groove to Colombia’s music sensation

"The new revolution to colombian music is strengthening." 3/1/19

Classic Rhythms, Future Beats

The Colombian group Ghetto Kumbé puts on a show you're unlikely to forget. It's an experiment, a ritual and an ode to the band's diverse Colombian roots. Combining traditional Afro-Colombian rhythms with the aesthetics of electronic music, Ghetto Kumbé sonically unites the country from its Pacific to Caribbean coasts.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Yoshiro Nakamats

His best thinking happens during the third movement of Beethoven's Fifth, in a gold-plated room and when he's mere moments from death. He writes his name "Nakamats," but that's Dr. Nakamatsu to you. He's dapper, 91 years young and holds over 3,500 patents. Take that, Thomas Edison!

Making "Saved by the Bell" Rock

From 1989 to 1993, kids all over America willingly went to school on Saturday mornings. Scott Gale provided "Saved by the Bell's" soundtrack and theme song, which he wrote mere minutes after the show's producers called him. Today, the show's four seasons only account for a fraction of Scott's 2,000 network television credits, and to this day, he never gets tired of watching his friends at Bayside High.
