What the White House Is Talking About:
President Donald Trump meets with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven.

What the White House Press Corps Is Talking About:
The press conference Trump will have with Löfven, which is currently scheduled for 3:30 this afternoon. Also, the Sam Nunberg incident(s) and whether the press was correct or incorrect to treat him as basically a sideshow.

But First Tweets:
Trump was up early today to assure everyone there's no chaos to see here.

Not sure about that one, but I *will* give him this -- the Oscars blew.

Korean Summit:
North and South Korea have agreed to hold a summit in April, which is huge news. North Korea apparently has also said it is willing to speak to the United States about denuclearization -- also huge.

Back to Nunberg Though:
Whatever your thoughts on how the media handled the Sam Nunberg issue Monday, I will say the interview CNN's Gloria Borger conducted with him was riveting, and worth a watch if you missed it. The rest of the day with him was sort of circus sideshow in my opinion, but with the caveat that this man was in the inner circle of someone who now holds the highest office in the land, and that can't be ignored or overlooked.

Kellyanne Conway Said To Have Violated Hatch Act:
The Office of Special Counsel said today that White House aide Kellyanne Conway twice violated the Hatch Act, both in interviews, by discussing her opinions about candidates in Alabama's Senate race, once in November and again in December. In her official capacity, Conway is supposed to not mix government business with opinions about candidates. The office has referred its findings to the President for disciplinary action, if any is taken.
Wait, About Those Tariffs:
The whole tariff issue happened when I was on vacation (I told you guys not to break anything while I was gone), but it seems to be sputtering to a weird end. Are we going to exempt Canada? Will House Speaker Paul Ryan's comments today have an impact? Will Gary Cohn persuade Trump he's been hasty? To borrow a presidential phrase, we'll see -- we'll have to wait and see.

That Time Jackie Kennedy Brought the 'Mona Lisa' to Washington:
I love this story -- not just because it's a remarkable feat of dangerous art maneuvers, but because it shows the strength and grit of Jacqueline Kennedy when she was first lady. In 1962, Kennedy fought hard to convince France to loan the National Gallery da Vinci's "Mona Lisa," arguably the most famous portrait in the world. The fine folks at the White House Historical Association have released a new book on the entire episode, "Mona Lisa in Camelot," and it's out March 21. However, if you're like me, you'll want to order it ASAP, like today, when it goes on sale.

PACIFIC is Here, Sign Up!:
My friend and colleague Dylan Byers has launched a fab new newsletter called PACIFIC, and it's about all things West Coast and news and media and power and buzz. You might even notice a familiar style of phrasing up top 😉. Here's today's issue. Read it and consider signing up -- I know we all have a ton of stuff sliding into our inboxes, but I think you'll like this one.

Dress Like the First Lady:
Monday's look from Melania Trump was, let's face it, all about the Loubs. The metallic blue "So Kate's" were amazing, and new -- I've never seen the first lady wear them before. The coat, which some on the interwebs are saying is this Max Mara, was so-so. (I don't think it is because there's piping and stitching on her version and not on the Max Mara one, which also has a buttonhole that hers doesn't have.) She's worn way better coats. But the shoes -- the shoes were shazam.

What Washington Is Talking About:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding meetings on the Hill, and Republicans are pushing back against Trump's proposed tariffs, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, who this morning said the United States needs something more "surgical" and "targeted" than broad tariffs.

What America Is Talking About:
Dating app Bumble announced it's banning user photos with firearms, with exceptions for those by users in their military or law enforcement uniforms, and it will donate $100,000 to March for Our Lives.

What Charleston Is Talking About:
A West Virginia teachers' strike that's lasted into its second week is coming to an end as state lawmakers reached a deal to provide teachers a 5% pay raise.

The First Midterm of 2018 is Here:
It's primary Election Day today in Texas, and for the first time in a quarter century, Democrats are running in all of Texas' 36 US House districts. Here's what to look for when polls close tonight.

Russia Accuses US of Foreign Meddling:
A Russian legislative committee accused the United States of meddling in 60 countries at least 120 times between 1946 and 2017 in a report released Monday, according to Meduza. Meanwhile, the State Department has yet to spend any of the $120 million budgeted to do something about Russian meddling in our elections, per The New York Times

The Bank Used to Wire $130,000 to Stormy Daniels Flagged the Transaction:
First Republic Bank reported the October 2016 transaction, made by Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, to the US Treasury Department, according to The Wall Street Journal. The paper also said Cohen complained after making the payment that Trump hadn't reimbursed him. Cohen said in a statement to the Journal it was "fake news."

Michelle Obama Met Her Fan:
A photo of a young girl looking up at Michelle Obama's portrait at the National Portrait Gallery went viral over the weekend, and now the former first lady has met the girl in the photo. She posted a video dancing to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" with 2-year-old Parker Curry today (and btw, Taylor liked it, I checked). Amazing.

🐸Pepe Watch🐸:
Works of art depicting "rare" Pepes are going for thousands of dollars' worth of Pepe Cash, a cryptocurrency, on the site Rare Pepe Wallet. FiveThirtyEight has a look at the digital Pepe art market, and how this online community feels about the usage of the frog as a racist, anti-Semitic symbol: "They rejected its racist associations, or were barely aware of them, or were sick of being asked about them, viewing the troubling link as either passé or irrelevant -- the artifact of a specific and fleeting moment in U.S. political history."

Matt Furie Is Suing InfoWars:
The Pepe creator has filed suit against the website. The complaint (which is amazing and you should read here), accuses InfoWars of using his creation on a poster he did not authorize:

Street Art Sighting:
The standoff at the Trump International Hotel and Tower Panama has ended with a street photo-op spot. The weeklong dispute involved visits from armed Panamanian authorities as an investor who blamed the Trump Organization for poor business performance pushed the company out. The all-caps "TRUMP" letters in front of the building were pulled off Monday ...
